Animation Introduction
Part 1 :
What is Animation?
- A way of making a movie by using a series of drawings, computer graphics, or photographs of objects such as puppets or models. That are slightly different from one another and that when viewed quickly one after another create the appearance of movement.
Short definition:
- Animation is the art of creating life.
Provide several examples where non-human objects or animal have been brought to life and how specifically these objects or animals have been humanized or made more human?
- Mickey Mouse :- He wears clothes, can talk and walk.
- Family Guy :- He can drive a car, can talk and he have feelings.
- The Magic School Bus :- The bus has eye.
- Scooby Doo :- He can talk, can walk, can dancing and He have feelings.
- Thomas & Friends :- Trains has face and can talk.
What makes great animation? Frame your answer in term of one or two of yours personal favorite animations?
- Make it punchy
- Engage your audience
- Make use of your characters
- Sound effects
My favorite animations are:
- Finding nemo this is the best animated movie I've ever seen because i like how they animated fishes they used different kind of animations like computer-generating, stop motion, motion graphics, 3D computer animation, etc.
- Toy story 3 because it uses the familiar childhood icons and groups them together in Andy's toy chest as a ragtag brigade, They uses all types of animations in the movie like computer-generating, stop motion, etc.
Part 2 :
''You Don't Need to Know How to Draw to be an Animation'' Respect to the following:
- Artist do not consistently make great animators. If you want to be an animator you need to know the basics of drawing and need to know how to make 2D animation, you need to have a good understanding of the foundations of animation.
Although the commentator suggests that it is not necessary to be fabulous at drawing to be a successful animator, he provides some helpful suggestions that we can take from the world of drawing to make us better animators.Take time to record some of them down for future inspiration?
- Focus on the characters and what you want from them.
- You don't need drawing skills but they are a good skills.
- Composition are a must.
- Figure out the human anatomy (how the body part move).
- Know the animation principles.
Part 3 :
List and describe some of the basic types of animation :
- Traditional Animation : Drawing every frame, Creative the illusion of moving, 12 frames per second.
- 2D Animation : Vector based animation, fast and cheap to use, 12 frames per second and 2 frames are used back to back.
- 3D Animation : Playing with puppets, 24 frames per second.
- Motion Graphics : Used for commercials.
- Stop Motion : Taking photo's over and over in a slightly different position.
